Although there are no design changes for the 2019 Chevrolet Volt, the car has been given important upgrades inside and underneath.
The 2019 Volt has a 7.2kW charging system standard on the Premier and optional the LT, where a 3.6kW charger is standard. The 7.2kW charger cuts full charge time on a 240V system to 2.3 hours, and improves the lives of those who do “opportunity charging.”
Also new for 2019 are new Low and Regen on Demand profiles with more regenerative braking, the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, and the engine-assisted heating system can be switched off until -13F (-25C).
Other new features include a 6-way power driver’s seat (standard on Premier, optional LT), pedestrian alert system, digital rear view camera, switchable adaptive cruise control, new seat patterns, and a relocated wireless smartphone charging pad.
New options include Pacific Blue Metallic paint, Jet Black/Porcelain Blue interior (Premier only), and blacked badges and 17″ wheels.
The 2019 Volt is rated for 53mi (85km) of pure electric driving, 106MPGe, and a total driving range of 420mi (675km). The 2019 Chevrolet Volt goes on sale during the fall of 2018.
