The 2019 Aston Martin DBS 59 is limited edition of 24 cars designed to celebrate the company’s 1-2 finish at the 1959 24 Hours of Le Mans race.
Just 5 Aston Martin DBR1 race cars were made for David Brown Racing between 1955 and 1959, and the new DBS 59 sets out to imitate the famous race car.
Each is painted green, and there’s gloss finish carbonfiber on the roof, roof strake, and hood louvres. The interior has black and tan leather, and a fabric inspired by the DBR1’s seat material.
Bronze detailing is found on the grille surround, and Aston Martin, Q and Superleggera badges. There’s also a leather helmet pod in the rear, a numbered plate, and DBS 59 helmets, race suits, gloves and logos.
The DBS 59 is based on the 533kW (715hp) DBS Superleggera.
