2019 Acura NSX: Slight visual update, faster, but no extra power

The 2019 Acura NSX update has new interior and exterior color options, more standard equipment, new tires and stabilizers, but no extra power.

For 2019, Acura has changed the front grille garnish from silver to body color, and the front grille, front air intake mesh and rear bumper outlet mesh are now done in high gloss black. The high gloss treatment is also available for the optional decklid spoiler and carbonfiber exterior package.

Acura has added a new hero paint option (Thermal orange pearl), and two new interior color options (Indigo blue, and full red).

Previously optional items (4-way power seats, sat nav, ELS Studio audio, front and rear parking sensors, aluminum pedals) are now standard.

The chassis, tires, software (transmission, hybrid, AWD) have all been retuned. There’s also new Continental SportContact 6 tires, and stiffer stabilizer bars, which make the 2019 NSX is 2 seconds quicker around the Suzuka track.

The 3.5L twin-turbo Sport Hybrid powertrain still makes 573hp (427kW) and 476 lb-ft (645Nm), and has an electric motor directly connected to the 9-speed DCT.

The 2019 Acura NSX can be ordered from today in the US. Deliveries begin in October. Pricing starts at US$157,500 (up US$1,500).
