Before PSA bought Opel/Vauxhall from GM, the new Grandland X was developed on the Peugeot 3008’s platform. This side by side comparison shows the siblings’ differences.

The Grandland X and the second-generation 3008 have completely unique bodies, despite sharing a platform and a 2,675mm (105.3-in) wheelbase.

Despite being styled as crossover vehicles, neither Grandland or 3008 have an all-wheel drive option.

Their underlying body structures are clearly related, although that's cleverly disguised primarily through the D-pillar treatments, which is blacked out on the Peugeot, and has more body colour on the Opel/Vauxhall.

Inside, you almost can't tell that the two cars are related. The Grandland has the now standard Opel/Vauxhall/Buick look with flowing shapes, and the latest GM MyLink infotainment system. The 3008, meanwhile, has fully embraces Peugeot's i-Cockpit design with jet fighter style design.
