The Mark VII Ford Fiesta ST is the sports model from Ford to have a 3-cylinder engine, and it has electronic sound enhancement and an active exhaust valve too.
It’s also the first 3-cylinder engine with cylinder deactivation. The 2018 Ford Fiesta ST has a turbocharged 1.5-liter 3-cylinder gas engine with 147kW (197hp) and 290Nm (214 lb-ft) for a 0 to 100km/h time of 6.2s.
The ST will be available with 18-inch wheels, a mesh grille, aero kit, three selectable drive modes (normal, sport and track), Recaro seats, flat bottomed steering wheel, Sync 3 infotainment system, and a B&O Play sound system.
The Mark VII Ford Fiesta ST goes on sale in Europe in early 2018 as a 3 and 5-door hatch.
