The new 2018 BMW i3s has a 40mm wider track, black wheel arch borders, lower suspension, different bumpers, and a more powerful electric powertrain.
Compared to the i3 facelift, the i3s has a 40mm wider track, 10mm lower suspension, wider tires, and exclusive 20-inch wheels.
The i3s has an electric motor with 135kW (184hp) and 270Nm (199 lb-ft), a single speed transmission, a 0-100km/h time of 6.9s, and a top speed of 160km/h (99mph).
That’s 10kW (14hp) and 20Nm (15 lb-ft) more than the standard i3. The i3s’ top speed is 10km/h (6mph) higher, and its 0-100km/h time is 0.4s faster.
Electric range for the i3s in the NEDC cycle is 280km (174mi), or 10-20km (6-12mi) worse than the i3. A 28kW (38hp) 2-cylinder gas range extender engine optional.
