It’s sad news, but the new Volkswagen T-Roc SUV, which is smaller than the Tiguan, won’t be sold in either the USA or Canada.
The Toyota C-HR, Honda HR-V, Chevrolet Trax and Buick Encore sell okay, but aren’t as popular here as they are in Europe.
A source told Automobile at the launch of the Volkswagen T-Roc, the company’s new SUV has been designed for Europe and China, and the first generation Tiguan (now the Tiguan Limited) will remain Volkswagen’s entry level SUV for the States.
Also the T-Roc won’t be sold in Canada, the land where the Honda Civic is king.
Volkswagen Canada told The Truth About Cars the T-Roc won’t be sold in the Great White North “at least for now.”
