The new Skoda Kodiaq goes on sale in Europe from early 2017, and is the first 7-seat car available from Skoda, and has five engines (two diesel, three gas).
The new Kodiaq will be available with two turbo-diesel (TDI) engines, and three turbo gasoline (TSI) engines, all with direct injection. Capacity goes from 1.4 to 2 liters, with power going from 92kW (123hp) to 140kW (188hp). Details below.
Depending on the engine, the Kodiaq is available with a 6-speed manual, or 6 and 7-speed dual-clutch (DSG) transmissions. All-wheel drive and off-road mode are optional.
Standard features include LED taillamps, 6.5-inch touchscreen Swing infotainment system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, MirrorLink, city emergency braking, multi-collision auto braking, and front-wheel drive.
Available equipment includes heated steering wheel, “kick to open” virtual pedal for the electric tailgate, full LED headlamps, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, traffic jam assistance, tow assist, predictive pedestrian protection, surround view cameras, a 575W Canton sound system, and Qi wireless smartphone charging.
The top end Columbus infotainment system has a glass capacitive touchscreen, automatic emergency call, 64GB of internal flash memory, Wi-Fi hotspot, LTE connectivity, and satellite navigation with integrated traffic, Google Earth and Street View data.
