The new Porsche 911 GTS and its 3-liter twin-turbo flat-6 has lapped the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 7 minutes 26 seconds.
The latest Porsche 911 GTS has a twin-turbo 3-liter flat-6 with 450hp (336kW), and 405 lb-ft (549Nm) between 2,150 and 5,000rpm. The GTS comes standard with RWD, and a 7-speed manual. A 7-speed dual-clutch (PDK) transmission is optional, as is AWD.
Both RWD and AWD models use the wider track platform, and wide body from the Carrera 4/4S and Targa 4/4S. There’s also black front and rear spoilers, black wheels, red grille strips, tinted taillamps, and center locking wheels.
Not only is the GTS more powerful by 30hp (22kW) than the latest 911 Carrera S, it’s also 4 seconds faster around the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
The new GTS also 20hp (15kW) more than the old GTS, which had a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter flat-6, and is 12 seconds faster around the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
