The Qashqai finally joins Nissan’s US SUV range as the new Rogue Sport, and sits between the Rogue (X-Trail in the rest of the world), and the radical Juke.
The Rogue Sport will be available with just one powertrain option: a direct injection 2-liter 4-cylinder with 141hp (105kW), and CVT (Xtronic) transmission.
Although the Rogue Sport and Rogue look nearly identical, the Rogue Sport is much smaller in every dimension, and is 10.7 inches shorter with a 2.3 inch shorter wheelbase.
The Rogue Sport is available with storage under the trunk floor, surround view cameras, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, and active cruise control.
The Rogue Sport goes on sale in the US from the spring of 2017. It will also go on sale in Canada, but will retain the Qashqai badge there.
