The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain soft roading wagon will go on sale in Europe during the spring of 2017, but won’t be coming to the US.
The Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain sits 29mm higher than the regular E-Class estate thanks a suspension that 15mm higher, and 14mm height increase thanks to the height of new tires.
The standard Air Body Control air suspension can be raised in three levels to give another 35mm of ground clearance. The E-Class All-Terrain has a ground clearance of between 121 and 156mm depending on the air suspension’s settings.
At launch, the E-Class All-Terrain is available only in E220d specification with a 2-liter turbo 4-cylinder diesel with 143kW (194hp) at 3,800rpm, and 400Nm (295 lb-ft) between 1,600 and 2,800rpm.
A V6 E350d will follow. Both engines come with a 9-speed automatic only.
4Matic all wheel drive is standard too, along with flared wheel arches with extensions, 19-inch alloy wheels (20-inch wheels are option), two-fin grille, new bumpers with electroplated silver chrome guards, and plenty of textured black plastic.
