Designed in Germany and California, the new Kia Rio hatch aims for a more upmarket look with rounder styling and thinner, sportier details.
The new Kia Rio is slightly larger than the outgoing. While we’re not huge fans of the new car’s exterior styling, the interior is a significant improvement with top end models featuring a floating style high resolution infotainment screen.
Most models will have gloss black and metallic style trim throughout for a higher end look, and the Rio will be available with gray of black cloth trim, or black or gray fake leather. A Red Pack will also be available with red fake leather trimmed seats.
More details about the fourth generation Kia Rio will be announced at the Paris Motor Show. Production begins at the end of 2016, so most markets won’t receive the new hatch until 2017.
