The large mainstream sedan market might be shrinking, but Kia is determined to grow its share of the pie with the second generation Cadenza.
Designed in Kia’s California studio, the new Cadenza has a concave version of the company’s tiger nose grille, a Z shaped lighting signature, and piano key style taillamps.
The new Cadenza is fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels as standard with 245/45 tires. 19-inch wheels with 245/40 Michelin tires are optional.
The front brakes have a 12 inch diameter, and the rear brakes are 11.1 inches — up from 11 at the both ends on the old model. The coefficient of drag has been reduced from 0.29 to 0.28.
Features available in the Cadenza include a head up display, surround view camera system, smart trunk automatic opening system, Uvo infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 12 speaker 630W Harman Kardon sound system.
All US Cadenza models are fitted with a 3.3-liter V6 engine that makes 290hp (216kW) and 253 lb-ft (343Nm), and drives the front wheels via an 8-speed automatic..
