The 2017 Honda Clarity fuel cell sedan has been given a range of rating of 366mi (589km) by the EPA, besting every ZEV car currently available.
That works out to a 68 MPGe rating for the odd looking car that has a 130kW electric motor powered by a 100kW hydrogen fuel cell stack.
The Honda Clarity becomes available for lease in the US at the end of 2016 through just 12 dealers in California: six in southern California, five in the San Francisco bay area, and one in Sacramento.
More retail outlets will be added when more hydrogen fueling stations become available.
