Ford has finally confirmed the output figures for the 2017 Fusion Sport’s 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6, and says that it’s aiming to woo luxury car buyers.
Ford initially unveiled the facelifted Fusion, and the new Sport model, in January 2016. Back then the Sport model, its 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 was estimated to have around 325hp (242kW) and 350 lb-ft (475Nm).
The company has revised the torque figure upwards, probably just to ensure that we all write about it. The 2.7-liter V6 is now said to have 380 lb-ft (515Nm) and 325hp (242kW). Ford proudly name checks the BMW 535i, Audi A6 3.0T and Mercedes-Benz E400 as sedans that it outperforms.
The Sport has a standard all-wheel drive system, 19-inch alloys, black mesh grille, twin tailpipes, and continuously controlled dampers.
The Ford Fusion Sport is priced from US$33,475.
