The 2017 Daihatsu Move has a new body and interior and improved safety features, but is based on the kei car’s sixth generation platform launched in 2014.
There are three trim levels and an optional safety pack, prices start at ¥1,112,400 (US$10,050) and go to ¥1,474,200 (US$13,300).
Features available include automatic braking with pedestrian detection, touchscreen infotainment, climate control, and sliding rear seats.
A 658cc 3-cylinder naturally aspirated gas engine with 38kW (51hp) at 6,800rpm and 60Nm (44 lb-ft) at 5,200rpm is standard, and a turbo version is available with 47kW (63hp) at 6,400rpm and 92Nm (68 lb-ft) at 3,200rpm.
All Daihatsu Move models have a CVT. FWD is standard, and AWD is optional.
