2017 Chrysler Pacifica wins inaugural North American Utility of the Year

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has won the first ever North American Utility of the Year award that’s open to minivans and SUVs.

The new award joins the North American Car of the Year and North American Truck of the Year awards.

A panel of automotive journalists gave the Chrysler Pacifica minivan 300 points, well ahead of the second placed Mazda CX-9 with 135 points, and the Jaguar F-Pace with 125.

The Chrysler Pacifica is a new upscale minivan that replaces Chrysler Town & Country, and will eventually replace the Dodge Grand Caravan. It is available with a 3.6-liter V6 or as a plug-in hybrid, a first for the segment.
