Taking bits from the Z06, the Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport limited edition has plenty of show to go with its more polished handling.
The Grand Sport has ZR-rated 285/30 tires with 19-inch alloys at the front and 335/25 tires and 20-inch alloys at the rear. There’s also a Brembo braking package with 14-inch rotors and 6-piston calipers at the front, and 13.4-inch rotors and 4-piston calipers at the back.
A 460hp (343kW) LT1 V8, magnetic ride control, new stabilizer bars, electronic LSD, 7-speed rev-matching manual, and unique springs are fitted standard. As is a Z06-style grille, wider rear fenders, aero parts, and new front fender inserts.
Options include full length stripes, a heritage graphics package, and the Z07 package, which includes carbon ceramic matrix brakes and Michelin Pilot Sport 2 Cup tires.
According to GM, the new Corvette Grand Sport with optional Z07 package is as fast around the company’s Milford Proving Ground as the previous generation Corvette ZR1.
