The interior, drivetrain and features of the MY2017 Cadillac XT5 have been revealed ahead of the new SUV going on sale in China and the US in 2016.
The XT5 is powered by a standard 3.6-liter V6 in the US with 310hp (231kW) and 270 lb-ft (366Nm), which also has automatic engine stop/start and cylinder deactivation that allows it to run in 4-cylinder mode.
For China, there will also be a base 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder with automatic engine stop/start. An 8-speed auto is standard, while a twin clutch AWD system that can send 100 percent of its power to the rear wheels is optional. FWD is standard.
Standard wheels on the XT5 are 18-inch, but 20-inch wheels are optional. Hands-free tailgate, rear camera mirror CUE infotainment, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, color heads-up display, full LED headlights, and surround view cameras are available.
Production of the Cadillac XT5 begins in spring 2016 in both the US and China.
