Due to low volumes, the Cadillac CT6 Plug-in Hybrid will be the first Caddy to be fully imported from China to the USA.
Despite that it should still sell better than the ELR that was a very sexy but hugely overpriced version of the Chevrolet Volt.
The Cadillac CT6 Plug-in Hybrid has a 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder gas engine with two electric motors, and lithium-ion battery. The drivetrain makes 335hp (250kW) and 432 lb-ft (586Nm).
In EV mode, the Cadillac CT6 Plug-in Hybrid has a range of 30mi (48km), a top speed of 78mph (126km/h).
As a hybrid, the CT6 PHEV has a top speed of 150mph (241km/h), a 0 to 60mph time of 5.2 seconds, a total range of over 400mi (644km), and a 65MPGe EPA rating.
The Cadillac CT6 Plug-in Hybrid goes on sale in the US during the spring of 2017, with prices starting from US$75,095.
