The Renault Grand Scenic has a longer wheelbase and rear overhang than the Scenic IV, but manages to still be an attractive and avantgarde minivan.
Compared to the short wheelbase Renault Scenic IV, the new Renault Grand Scenic is 224mm longer overall. With a wheelbase that’s 66mm longer, that means there’s also 158mm of extra space behind the rear axle.
While the SWB Scenic has horizontal taillights, the LWB Grand Scenic has a vertical set that’s similar to the ones used on the larger Espace.
Like the regular Scenic IV, the new Grand Scenic is fitted with 20-inch alloy wheels and narrow 195/55 tires.
The Grand Scenic IV is available in both five and seven layouts. A panoramic glass roof, matt finish aluminium roof bars, and a contrasting roof section are also available.
There five diesel drivetrains: a 110PS (81kW) with 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT, a 110PS (81kW) with hybrid assist and 6-speed manual, a 130PS (96kW) with 6-speed manual, and a 160PS (118kW) with 6-speed DCT.
Two gas options are also available: 115PS (85kW) and 130PS (96kW), both with a 6-speed manual.
