The JDM Honda Odyssey has been updated for 2016, and now includes a powerful hybrid gas-electric drivetrain.
Under the hood there’s a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine with 107kW (143hp) at 6,200rpm and 175Nm (129 lb-ft) at 4,000rpm. This paired with an electric motor that generates 135kW (181hp) between 5,000 and 6,000rpm, and 315Nm (232 lb-ft) between 0 and 2,000rpm.
Performance is said to be on par with a 3-liter V6, while fuel economy is rated at 4/100km (61mpg) under the JC08 standard.
Unlike the Honda Odyssey models with a 2.4-liter i-VTEC and Honda Odyssey Absolute versions with a 2.4-liter direct injection gas engine, the Hybrid Odyssey isn’t available with all-wheel drive.
