GM has priced the MY2016 Cadillac CTS-V sedan from US$83,995, with sales set to begin in the late summer in the US.
Cadillac claims that the new CTS-V is its most powerful car ever. Under the hood there’s an LT4 6.2-litre supercharged V8 with 640hp (477kW) and 630 lb-ft (855Nm) going the rear wheels via an 8-speed auto with manual controls.
Performance-wise the CTS-V can do 0 to 60mph in 3.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 200mph (322km/h).
It is equipped with a carbon fiber hood, Brembo brakes, 19-inch wheels, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, three driving modes (touring, sport, track), and third generation Magnetic Ride Control.
The interior has suede-like microfiber inserts and matte carbon fiber trim.
