From June 2016, Buick will begin selling the made-in-China Buick Envision in two upper end trim levels from US$42,995, with lower priced 2017 models coming online in September.
Stuart Fowle, a Buick spokesman, told Automotive News that the shortened 2016 model year runs from June to October and will feature the US$42,995 Premium I and the US$45,636 Premium II models. Both Premium models have a 252hp (188kW) 2-liter turbo and AWD.
CarsDirect reports that the Premium II will have ventilated seats, head-up display, surround view cameras, and heated and reclining rear seats.
The 2017 model year starts in September, and will see the range joined by a US$34,990 base model, and the mid-spec Peferred and Essence models. All three have a 197hp (147kW) 2.5-liter 4-cylinder.
The Buick Envision has been a success in China, with the SUV notching up 150,000 sales during 2015. The Envision will be the first mass market car imported from China to the USA.
