Codenamed Omega, the new Lotus electric hypercar is being funded by new owner Geely, and is due to hit the streets in the early 2020s.
The new Lotus will have an AWD electric drivetrain with over 1000hp (746kW), and technology borrowed from other Geely brands, including Volvo and Polestar.
While it may be designed in the UK (probably the company’s technical center in Coventry), it may be produced elsewhere, say China or Sweden.
It will be easily the most expensive Lotus ever — the most expensive current models are just over £100,000.
